  • Habs prospect report – Cole Caufield has been named Big Ten Player of the Year. Caufield scored game tying and game winning goals in semi-finals, but his Badgers lost to the Golden Gophers in the Big Ten championship on Tuesday. Frozen Four Regional participants to be selected on Sunday. Jordan Harris considering joining the Canadiens now that his NCAA season is done. Ryan Poehling is heating up for the Rocket.   • There have been new members of the Canadiens who have been key additions on the ice and as leaders, the guys react to comments from newcomers Corey Perry and Josh Anderson.
  • With Ben Chiarot out of the lineup, the Canadiens have been forced to reconfigure their defensive pairings. Rick and Joe discuss how the new look pairings have performed and react to a clip from Shea Weber discussing the adjustments of playing with a new partner. Could the Habs make a move for some help on the blueline?
  • Overtime losses continue to pile up for the Canadiens, with two more this week they are now 0-9 in extra time. The guys take a look at Dominique Ducharme’s strategy for overtime and discuss slow starts.

  • Arrests have been made after the theft of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia from the house of Walter Gretzky.
  • NHL Return to Play – The NHL and NHLPA have reached a tentative agreement for a 56-game season that will begin on January 13th. Questions still remain on how it will look, including whether the entire season will be played in the United States. Quebec premier, Francois Legault says the province’s health restrictions will not be an obstacle for the Canadiens.

Segment 2: WJC 2021: The Most Wonderful Time

  • Rocket Sports Junior Hockey specialist, Mike Raschle, joins the show to preview the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships. Rick and Joe talk with Mike about Team Canada and his expectations entering the tournament. Who poses the biggest challenge to Canada? Will Canada get stability between the pipes?   • They Said What – Habs strength and conditioning coordinator Patrick Delisle-Houde spoke to the media this week. He touched on Shea Weber, Jesperi Kotkaniemi, changes to his role during the pandemic and more!
  • NHL reveals reverse-retro jerseys for all 31 teams. 
  • NHL and NHLPA have been in the news this week after the NHL asked for some tweaks to the CBA agreement agreed to early in the pandemic
  • ECHL announced all teams in the North division will suspend play for the 2020-21 season.
  • Marc Bergevin interview with TVA, touching on ECHL plans, Phillip Danault contract negotiations and his prediction for the all-Canadian division. 

Segment 2: All-Canadian or Atlantic division? 

  • With the uncertainty surrounding how the upcoming season will unfold, Rick and Joe ask the question: Would the Canadiens have a better chance of making the Playoffs in the Atlantic division, or the Canadian division that has been talked about as a possibility for this season?
  • A survey from The Athletic shows that Canadiens fans have very high hopes with regards to making the Playoffs this season.

  • The Ottawa Senators signed former Hab Alex Galchenyuk to a one-year contract worth 1.05 million. 
  • Ilya Kovalchuk remains an unsigned free agent. François Gagnon wrote an article for RDS detailing why the aging winger does not make sense for the Canadiens. 
  • Montreal mayor, Valérie Plante, closes all sports facilities including Bell Sports Complex.
