- Habs prospect Joel Teasdale sufferred a serious knee injury while training, tearing ligaments in both his ACL and MCL. He is expected to be out of action for seven months.

- Former Canadien P.K. Subban and American skier Lindsey Vonn are engaged!
- The Canadiens rights to Nikolas Koberstein have expired.

The veteran defenceman is not interested in returning to the Laval Rocket and has hopes of a return to the NHL, saying he does not have much time left in his career.
