- Roster news – Ben Chiarot had surgery on his right hand on Monday, he will miss 6-8 weeks. Paul Byron cleared waivers on Wednesday. Sean Burke participated in his first practice in his new role on Friday. Habs equipment manager Pierre Gervais recognized for 3000 games.
- Habs prospect report – Cole Caufield has been named Big Ten Player of the Year. Caufield scored game tying and game winning goals in semi-finals, but his Badgers lost to the Golden Gophers in the Big Ten championship on Tuesday. Frozen Four Regional participants to be selected on Sunday. Jordan Harris considering joining the Canadiens now that his NCAA season is done. Ryan Poehling is heating up for the Rocket. - There have been new members of the Canadiens who have been key additions on the ice and as leaders, the guys react to comments from newcomers Corey Perry and Josh Anderson.
- With Ben Chiarot out of the lineup, the Canadiens have been forced to reconfigure their defensive pairings. Rick and Joe discuss how the new look pairings have performed and react to a clip from Shea Weber discussing the adjustments of playing with a new partner. Could the Habs make a move for some help on the blueline?
- Overtime losses continue to pile up for the Canadiens, with two more this week they are now 0-9 in extra time. The guys take a look at Dominique Ducharme’s strategy for overtime and discuss slow starts.

- Marc Bergevin spoke to the media this week in his mid-season media availability. He discussed Chiarot’s injury and whether he envisions making a trade to get a replacement for Chiarot, the cap, the team’s prospects, playoffs and the changes to the team under Ducharme. Rick and Joe react to this media availability from the Habs GM.

Segment 1: Week in Review, Habs News, League News
- The Canadiens signed another of their prospects this week. They agreed to terms with Cam Hillis on a three-year entry level contract. Hillis, 19, was a 3rd round pick in 2018 who played alongside Nick Suzuki with the Guelph Storm.
- The Habs will be losing rights to unsigned prospects June 1st, including Allan McShane, Cole Fonstad, Samuel Houde, Arvid Henrikson and Max Friberg.
- Former Canadiens forward, Ales Hemsky, announced his retirement this week. Hemsky, who will be 37 in August, played 15 seasons in the NHL, most of which were with the Edmonton Oilers.
- Mark Weightman former VP of the Laval Rocket, has joined Dean McDonald’s group as a consultant.
- Max Domi spoke to the media via a conference call this week and the forward touched on a variety of topics, including contract negotiations with the Canadiens.
- P.K. Subban was in the headlines this week, after he claimed this week that he believes he is one of the top defencemen in the NHL.
- One of the Habs top prospects Cole Caufield was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
- TSN selected an All-Time Team Canada which included Carey Price and Shea Weber alongside the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Sidney Crosby, Bobby Orr and Martin Brodeur.
- Carey and Angela Price once again showed their tremendous generosity, donating to The Hero Project, an initiative that helps feed frontline workers at Jewish General Hospital.
- Impact of the Coronavirus.
- The AHL cancelled the remainder of their season this week due to the ongoing pandemic, as announced by AHL President Dave Andrews, earlier this week. With that, the season has ended for all 31 AHL clubs, including the Laval Rocket. Rick and Joe discuss the cancellation of the AHL season and the season that was for the Laval Rocket.
- In spite of the AHL cancelling their season, Gary Bettman said this week that the prospect of cancelling the remainder of the season and not rewarding the Stanley Cup is “not something I’m even contemplating.” If the Canadiens are to return this year, the guys who would comprise the Canadiens Black Aces.

Segment 1: Week in Review, Habs News, League News
- The Flyers won the first round series against the Canadiens in six games. Joe recaps the series.
- In the midst of the series against the Flyers, there were two major incidents that took place in Game 5. Jesperi Kotkaniemi was ejected early in the 2nd period of that game for boarding Travis Sanheim. Later on, Matt Niskanen cross-checked Brendan Gallagher in the face that went unpenalized. The Canadiens tweeted a closeup angle of the hit on Twitter to put pressure on the league to suspend Niskanen, especially with Gallagher suffering a broken jaw. But Alain Vigneault created controversy by questioning the severity of the injury.
- They Said What? Marc Bergevin and Alain Vigneault comment on the Gallagher injury before Game 6. Reactions from Price, Weber, Hart, Vigneault and Muller after the series wrapped up. Price gives Muller credit for his job as interim head coach.
- Dale Hawerchuk passed away this week at the age of 57 after a battle with stomach cancer. Rick and Joe pay tribute to the legend.
Segment 2: Bergevin’s End of Season Review
- Following the Canadiens being eliminated on Friday night, the Canadiens GM, Marc Bergevin, spoke with the media on Saturday. He talked about a wide range of topics including the experience this run gave to the Habs young players, an update on Gallagher’s injury, Price and Weber’s phenomenal play and much more! Rick and Joe react to his press conference.
- Chuck Fletcher gave credit to the Canadiens for their play in the Playoffs and shared a different view of this off-season than Marc Bergevin did.
