  • Canadiens owner Geoff Molson spoke to the media this week, saying that he is excited about the next “three to eight years”. Rick and Joe take a look at his comments and wonder what to make of them. 
  • Max Domi also spoke to the media this week, and perhaps reignited a major rivalry in the process. 
  • Jonathan Drouin revealed that he has been spending time watching film with Habs assitant coach Dominique Ducharme, who coached Drouin in junior. 
  • Former Canadiens defenceman, Andrei Markov, was in the news again this week. He hired agent Allan Walsh to help him get back to the NHL. 
  • Elliotte Friedman made some interesting comments on Tim & Sid Thursday. Bringing up the idea that Marc Bergevin and the Canadiens are still “looking at moves to add to their team”. He also added that the Canadiens were interested in Jake Gardiner earlier this summer, but their interest was not reciprocated. 
  • Sportsnet let some familiar names go from their hockey coverage including Nick Kypreos, Doug MacLean and John Shannon.  

Segment 2: The Big Topic.

  • What looked to be the Canadiens draft list was leaked on TVA and made the rounds on social media. The Canadiens official Twitter account denied that this was used by the team at the NHL draft in Vancouver. Rick and Joe discuss what this means and take a deeper look at Montreal’s lack of transparency.

  • Former Canadien P.K. Subban and American skier Lindsey Vonn are engaged!
  • The Canadiens rights to Nikolas Koberstein have expired. 
  • Former teammates Artturi Lehkonen and Tomas Plekanec went head-to-head in tennis match with bragging rights on the line!

  • Karl Alzner had some interesting comments regarding his current status within the Montreal Canadiens organization. The veteran defenceman is not interested in returning to the Laval Rocket and has hopes of a return to the NHL, saying he does not have much time left in his career.   • Following the arrival of Keith Kinkaid last week, another Canadiens signing, Ben Chiarot, arrived in Montreal for the first time to meet with the media and wear the jersey for the first time. 
  • Tomas Plekanec signed with HC Kometa Brno of the Czech Extraliga.
  • The Canadiens last remaining RFA, Michael McCarron, signed a one-year, two-way contract.
  • ESPN has predicted where the Canadiens will finish in the standings this season and the Vegas oddsmakers have weighed in.
  • TVA speculated on the return that the Jets are expecting from Patrik Laine and the price is steep.
  • Second round pick Jayden Struble confirmed his commitment to Northeastern this week on Instagram.

  • One of Montreal’s summer signings, Keith Kinkaid, arrived in Montreal to put on his Habs jersey for the first time and discuss partnering up with Carey Price, among other topics.

Headlining the 2019 class, alongside Sergei Zubov, Vaclav Nedomansky and Hayley Wickenheiser, the Canadiens legend will be inducted on November 18th. Rick and Joe give their thoughts on Carbonneau becoming the 59th member of the Habs in the Hall.
  • Free agency is nearly upon us, and the Habs have spoke with Matt Duchene, Wayne Simmonds and Keith Kincaid. Rick and Joe highlight some of the options the Habs might explore.
  • Then it is time to highlight the latest Canadiens news: the Canadiens re-signed Mike Reilly, Cam Hillis was named the captain of the Guelph Storm, Frederik Dichow was drafted in the CHL Import Draft and the Canadiens qualified pending restricted free agents and released others.

  • With the 2019 NHL Entry Draft in the books, the guys grade the Canadiens selections and give their thoughts on the event.

  • Then it is time to highlight the latest Canadiens news: Gustav Olofsson signed a two-way contract, Brendan Gallagher gave a thumbs down to World Cup celebrations, the NHL buyout period opened on Saturday and there’s a new addition to the pre-season schedule.

  • The guys will highlight the latest Canadiens news: Trevor Timmins questions prospects at the combine, Nick Suzuki accepted the William Hanley Trophy, Victor Mete took an F1 ride, Antti Niemi signed a contract, Habs lost rights to prospects Jarret Tyszka and Scott Walford, Rocket signed Joe Cox and Morgan Adams-Moisan and social media reaction to the possible return of Andrei Markov to the NHL.
